About Michael Harris

I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor, supervisor and counselling tutor based in Medway, Kent, UK.

A member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I embrace their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.  I am also qualified to work online/video call/telephone.

Trained as a person-centred counsellor and using integrative and creative techniques, I believe that I can facilitate   your  growth and development to empower   you  to live   your  life  how   you  want to live it -  through empathy, honesty and acceptance.

So, what does that mean?

Empathy -   I will 'step in   your  shoes', 'walk along side   you' and be with you every step of the way to you living your life, how you want it lived.

Honesty -   whilst this may be challenging at times; I offer a safe, secure and confidential space - free from judgement: a space where   you  can 'be  you' - with appropriate challenges to enable you to think about and explore what you really want from life.

Acceptance -   I have experience of working with a wide range of client ethnicity and diversity: from adolescents, mid-seasoners and those in the autumn and winter of their lives - men, women and those who identify as gender, relationship and sexuality diverse (GSRD) and those who are gender and/or sexuality-questioning.
